Who is Prophysicus?

Every member of the Prophysicus team has experience in basic research, scientific publishing, or both.

We specialize in presenting scientific information to a scientific audience.

Prophysicus Research Systems is a team of information and design professionals dedicated to building websites that are easy to use, informative, and visually compelling. We have a deep talent pool available, so we are able to draw on many individuals' strengths as needed for a particular project. We are experts in web design and development, information technology, computer programming, user interface design, writing, copy editing, graphic design, database administration, and project management. Moreover, many of us have past experience in research labs, along with advanced degrees in the natural scientists. We are scientists ourselves, dedicated to presenting your lab in the best light possible, by delivering premier websites for professional scientists.

Members of the Prophysicus team have made substantial contributions to projects throughout the world of science. Our work has been used in research-intensive settings such as The Scripps Research Institute, the University of Virginia, Stanford University, and federal research institutes. Our experience in presenting scientific information online has been seen in many online publications, including Science Magazine, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and the Annual Reviews series of publications. Most importantly, we enjoy building websites for scientists - for more examples, please take a look at out "What Prophysicus has done for others" page.

The unifying characteristic shared by all members of the Prophysicus team is an enthusiasm for advancing science by presenting scientists and their work in the best way possible. We believe that science is interesting and important, but fear that that message often gets lost through poor communication and misconceptions. The best way to combat this is for scientists to take ownership of their personae and research by making it available as accessibly as possible. As scientists and former (or in some cases, current) researchers ourselves, we're uniquely equipped in the web development industry to be able to identify and address the issues that are unique and challenging to science communication and online information delivery.

On behalf of the entire Prophysicus team, thank you for your interest in us, and thank you for your continued work in research as well as the training of the next generation of scientists!
